ASSOCIATE DENTIST, PEDIATRIC DENTISTRY
Provide dental care for infants, children, and adolescents. Fabricate space maintainers designed for patients. Treat primary and secondary teeth and construct and place bridges, dentures, and obturating appliances suitable for growing arches. Counsel and advise patients and family on growth and developmental dental problems of patient. Provide preventive services through use of fluorides and sealants and instruct patient and family members on dental care. Perform all aspects of general or specialty dentistry according to licensure and qualifications, including but not limited to restorative, prosthetic (both fixed and removable), periodontic, endodontic, oral surgery and other services. Accurately diagnose patients, identify pathology, and conduct complete examination of hard and soft tissues. Identify patient's chief complaint or reason for visit. Address all contradictions pertaining to treatment. Prepare written sequentially itemized treatment plans to delineate optimum treatment, including but not limited to: elimination of pain; removal of carious lesions; periodontal, restorative, and periodontic treatment. Complete treatment plans in an appropriate and efficient time frame. Regular, independent travel required.
- Education: Doctorate Degree from an accredit school of Dentistry
- Experience: Two years of practicum experience in general dentistry
- Other: Current license to practice dentistry, valid federal and state license to dispense Class II through Class V drugs, valid North Carolina driver's license.
